For the Cake
- 2 1/2 C All Purpose Flour
- 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 8 TBSP (1 Stick) Unsalted Butter (Room Temp)
- 1 3/4 C Granulated Sugar
- 2 Lg Eggs (Room Temp)
- Zest of 1 Grapefruit
- 1/2 C Broiled Grapefruit Juice (Strained)
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 C Buttermilk (Room Temp)
Lime Buttercream
- 3/4 C (1.5 Sticks) Unsalted Butter (Room Temp)
- 3 C Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- Zest and Juice of 1 Lime (2-3 TBSP lime juice)
Notes
- You can also bake this cake in a 9X13 pan. The baking time for that would be 35-40 minutes.
